• Enjoy Your Life One Day At A Time

I recently found myself evaluating my life and thought:  “Is this it?”  Over the years I’ve recognized this sense of malaise is a red flag for me.  It’s that sense of just going through the motions rather than being present and truly enjoying the moment.  I get up and do today what I did yesterday.  Why?  Well, because it’s what I do!

This is the stuff mid-life crises are made of.  You suddenly wake up and wonder, “How did I get here!?  This was never part of the plan!”

My active parenting years are over.  I’m a grandmother.  We’re empty nesters.  This is causing me to think about what parts of my life bring me joy and what needs to change. What I found myself reflecting on were…

The steps in the Vibrantly Live System™!

    1.  I need to be clear on what’s truly important to me and why.  It’s all about getting rid of non-essentials.
    2. I must take care of myself in order to have the mental and physical energy necessary.
    3. Having a clear vision for my purpose at this stage in my life allows decisions to be made easily.
    4. Experiencing meaningful relationships makes life richer.  We were not created to do life alone, so finding ways to nurture and develop those relationships is a must for me.

I decided to spend some time looking at each of these 4 areas for this point in my life.  I think it’s time to re-calibrate.  I recently read that we should re-evaluate where we are every 6 months and make adjustments as necessary.  Why?   Because I want to remain intentional rather than slide into that malaise.

Last month I took a couple of weeks to think deeply about each of those 4 life areas and reflect on how they’re going for me at this stage in my life.  They brought me some clarity on changes I want to make and areas I want to celebrate.

So, how about you?  I challenge you to think through these 4 areas in your life.  Are you on course or is a little re-calibration  necessary?  Remember you don’t have to do that alone.  If you’d like someone to walk that journey with you, we’d love to partner with you.
